Window minimisation problem

On redhat 8, when I minimise a window it disappears off the screen, rather than onto the launch panel. Why is this, and how can I stop it?

what desktop manager are you using? not everyone uses KDE or Gnome.

it's easiest to configure from the KDE desktop
if you're using gnome then some of the controls seem hard to find.
there is a control in kde called Window Behaviour, you might find what you're looking for in there

but i'm new to all this too
so there's probably other ways of doing it as well
