win xp host rh9 guest on vmware
 

Sorry i dont usually post but im in need of an answer. I recently got red hat 9 and want to get on the internet but after extensive research i learned that rh9 doesnt support my linksys wireless g card. So in my research i saw that vmware could share windows drivers with linux so i got it now i cant get rh9 to boot in vmware it says:


VFS: cannot open root device "label=/" or 00:00
please append a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 00:00

i hate being a newbie but i would apreciate any help neone has to offer thanks for your time

ok i figured out how to login but it start like dos im wondering how i can start it like it does when im not using vmware but im catching on pretty fast ide appreciate the help
