Unhappy win xp file sharing

Hi I have problems settings up the win xp and linux so that I can transfer data between the the two using network neighbour hood in windows and whatever linux uses to do the same.

I was hoping that someone would be able to point me in the right direction or maybe post a link on how to do this or maybe some docs

All help would be greatly appreciated

I am using mandrake 8.2 and gnome 1.4 an win xp pro with ntfs file system.

In the network neighbour hood I can see the linux box but I cannot acess it acess denied according to windows.
