Win / Linux Administration

I'm looking in to consolidating many Windows NT servers on to an IBM OS/390 mainframe running Linux. My major concern is the administration of accounts, directories, shares and printers. Is there some sort of Middleware that allows one point of administration for my NT servers to setup directories, permissions and accounts on the Linux side.? If so will this work on a Win2k server based network as well. Also, are there any tools to migrate the existing accounts and permissions?
Thanks!

Samba

I am using samba for a file server for win98 and win2k.

just setup the users and they can access their home folders and you can have group folders or public folders.

The good thing is you have file and folder permissions control.

You can have public folders where only the user posting will have write access.
