Win Bootup after Linux uninstall

So, here is the story.
I tried out Linux Mint, and after while decided to get rid of it. So I deleted the linux partition from Vista partition manager, and hoped that the story is over, but as you can imagine it wasnt. So here comes the problem. I can not boot up anymore. After starting laptop its boot up searches for linux, that does not exist anymore. It gives me error 17 from grub.

I know that problem is with bootup manager, but I have no idea how to repair it so that Vista could survive. I have searched from google, but i have not found solution that could met my needs.

Now I would like to make my vista start up again, but Im not sure how. Like said Im new with linux, and I could use a step-by-step explicates.

Boot the windows using your cd and enter the rescue mode. Once in the rescue mode it will give you a command prompt. On the command prompt type the command
Code:

FIXMBR
.
This will replace your broken mbr and install the default windows boot loader.

Here, try this. BTW, as an aside, it never ceases to 'amuse' me how people who want to UNINSTALL Linux seem to end up on a Linux forum! They always seem to get advice of a more or less useful nature but why would anyone think that a Linux forum is the place to come for Windows advice? I suspect if I went to a Windows forum (Do they exist as we would sort of recognise it?) and asked how to remove Windows so I can format the freed up partition as ext3 and use it with Linux, I'd get told to go forth and multiply... ;->

fixmbr did the trick, just that vista need bit longer command: bootrec.exe/fixmbr

Cheers!

Perhaps better to try http://windowsquestions.org

Seriously, it makes perfect sense that--if we know how to install Linux, we also know how to remove it----n'est-ce pas?
