Hi...

You're welcome. Can you give me the exact name(s) of the folder/files that you saw after you entered the "dir" command? You probably have files within a folder and the folder shows on your desktop.

Regards...

Than become root and type:
Code:
./install.sh
Upon doing that the script should take off, open an installer, and than walk you through installing the driver.

The extracted file on my desktop reads "Ew - 7811Un_Linux_driver_v1.0.0.5"

Inside that file, is more extracted data. When extracted - that file reads "RTL8188C_8192C_USB_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911"

The dir command reflects the presence of both these files precisely.

Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't had much time to trouble shoot this matter. Thank you for helping me. I very much appreciate it.

No such file or directory exists is all I get. The files most certainly are on my desktop.

You have to be in the directory that the ./install.sh file is in before executing ./install.sh.

For example:
Code:
cd /home/username/Downloads/name of driver file/ (exact path to where the driver/installer is)
Than run ./install.sh

A little suggestion from my part, don't boot tails directly from an USB drive rather than try to run it live on a virtual machine it is more safe and I guess if your adapter works on the parent OS it should really work on the virtual machine!
