Unhappy WiFi connectivity using Fedora

Hi,

I have Fedora on my system and need to work with Wi-fi to access the net. When i turn the Wi-fi button ON, the light still shows Orange colour indicating that i am indeed not connected.

I am very new to this OS and need a guidance from the bash point of view, the exact steps to get me connected.

Please provide me exact steps.

Thanks,
~entrant

and letting us know what version of fedora you are running would help
we don't want to give you the instructions for fedora 10 or 11 if you are running fedora 7
