If you're using a static IP, then you're not using DHCP. Though repo did give you some DNS servers to use, please verify that those addresses are in fact in your /etc/resolv.conf file. Please post for us the contents of that file.

Also, to help repo and/or others continue helping, please post the output of the following commands:

shell# sudo route -n
shell# sudo ifconfig -a
shell# sudo iwconfig -a

Note that only ONE of the last two commands may be needed; the idea is that we can see the device that you are currently using to try to connect with.
