congrats... you just asked just about THE most common newbie question ever! ;-) personally i say, don't use LimeWire, just cos you might've used it on windows, doesn't mean there aren't better non-java based apps already around for linux. On the other hand though.. you are just trying to install this from RPM? if so check what j2re it is asking for and which you actually DO have installed, rpm's can be frustratingly picky. If it's not an RPM issue, then it'll probably be down to your classpath, so just set the CLASSPATH shell parameter to be the location of your j2re location.
