Why Won't Xubuntu Install?

Hi all, I've never had this problem before. I bought a new laptop and I put in the 12.04 Xubuntu USB and click "install without trying xubuntu" and everything seems to go ok. When it comes to booting though, it boots as if there's nothing on the computer. Booted into the live usb and it shows there is a hard drive there and it certainly *looks* as if Xubuntu is installed.

I tried using "boot-repair" tool which I found after startpageing and this is what it returned: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8512832/

Thanks

Did you remove the USB key after installing, but before rebooting?

The solution to this (this is a duplicate thread, but thanks for the response!) was that I had 'installed' or the drive was 'preformatted' or somehow was "UEFI" or something like that and I needed it be be in MSDOS. So in with the live key, format the drive myself, then let XUbuntu do its thing.
