why this error when configuring a tarball!!!


when trying to install a tarball i am getting the following error when configuring:

configure: error: in `/home/server/tazzed/mkahawa-printer-0.0.1':
configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check

what might be the problem??

Can you post the first error from running configure please? If you're not sure what to post, I'd recommend putting the entire output on somewhere like Pastebin.com and then posting the link to that.

C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check :

I think, you will only get that error when you have no g++ / linux-libc-dev

'sudo apt-get install g++ linux-libc-dev' should do.
You will also need libfox-1.6-dev for mkahawa-printer.
