Why squid is start failed?


I have squid install for Redhat 9.0. And i am running the command /etc/init.d or service squid start. and it is give me this error.
What do i need to do to fix this?

[root@Delta root]# /etc/init.d/squid start
start squid: /etc/init.d/squid:line 162 : 42244 Aborted $SQUID $SQUID_OPTS 2 > /dev/null [FAILED]
