do you have your FF set to update on every visit to the page? if so it will try to verify the locally saved data is current before loading the page. You are waiting for that process to time out...

i went to edit/preferences/advanced/update and unchecked auto update for all except firefox. i reboot and i open about 10 pages that i has saved to disk. all opened fast exept 5 that took time to open. i saved the pages orignaly using ctrl+s, web page, html only. so my problem is not fully solved. as per myself, it must not take time becos it is saved locally. tnx
