Why I have to run "dpkg --configure -a" to install updates?
my inspiron 910 asked to manually run dpkg--comfigure-a in order to downlaod updates.
How do I do this and why? |

Your system is telling you to run "dpkg --configure -a"...so you then need to type in "dpkg --configure -a", and press ENTER. If it tells you you need to be root, type in "sudo dkpg --configure -a". You do this in a terminal window. |
