Question why i can't appy skin...

hi ....
i have mplayer's skins, but i am not able to apply that skin
i tried the things whatever given in ReadMe file but it doesn't work

Rename the skin folder to "default" and then move it to /usr/local/share/mplayer/skins/

extract the skins in ~/.mplayer/skins/ folder.
You would be able to see see them
