Thumbs up Why I am Here!!

Folks,

Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong area but couldn't find a more suitable place. I just wanted to quickly post and say a big thank you to all the Linux community out there for everything. I spent the best part of the last two weeks constantly battling problems with my HP Pavilion dv6000 using Windows XP. Day after day, frustration after frustration, it was getting to the point where my laptop was going out the third floor window. But then I decided to see if there were any open source operating systems out there that would serve me in the meantime until I got new Windows software. Came across Ubuntu, installed it without a problem and have been a happy camper every since. No longer am I in the market for a Windows operating system as i'm more than happy with Linux (have a slight problem with accessing my virgin media wireless but hey ho!!).

So, a big thanks to all those out there who are involved in making Linux possible. I am forever indebted.

B

Welcome to LQ,

Great GR8 to see you being fascinated by Open Source Software.
Linux is something which always fascinate developers, System Admin,Tester etc to work.
Meanwhile my Real Concern was "Why I am Here". Coz' Its wrong place to comment.
Kindly checkout "General" Corner to post such kindda Thanking Stuff.
That would help visitors to get real troubleshooting Tips rather than making it little informal.
Hope you Understood what I really Mean.
Enjoy LinuXing.
