why does NOT the ubuntu 13.10 have the version.h?

/usr/src/linux-header-3.11.0.12

/usr/src/linux-header-3.11.0.12-generic

neither has the version.h file in the /include/linux/ , why?

that hinders the software's installation

There isn't one in here: /usr/src/linux-headers-3.11.0.12/include/linux/version.h ?

And you can confirm that linux-headers is installed? You may want to remove and reinstall it.

the ubuntu install these two headers folder under the /usr/src by default .

and I tried : apt-get install linux-headers-genric , it get the version of the 3.11.0.22 headers and the generic one , but the version.h don't exist on either of them.
