why does my login screen keep showing when it normally continues without login
 

I use Linux for my firewall etc. Normally when it works fine it gets to the login and then after a few seconds just continues. Then it allows me to get my broadband etc to work on my computer. Currently it just sits on the login screen and thats it. I can therefor not connect to the internet.
