Why can't I send an email after a success install of SuSe

I successfully installed SuSE 10 with internet connectiong working sort of. I click on the Firfox icon and typed a email. Tried to send the email but text showed "Sending...." but it never did. Do you know what I need to do to complete the install of internet.

What do you mean when you say it is working "sort of"? And what Email service are you using?

Using ComCast as a provider

sort of - met I could type the email in something that looks like a working email environment (Firefox) but it doesn't work. Unlike the Firefox environment that the I use. I am using google as a email.

Are you using GMail? If so and the form loads it sounds like the Internet is working. Can you navigate to other pages as normal.

If it sticks on "sending..." in GMail, that's something that happens on the server side. The only client side action that would cause sending to hang is if you are uploading an attachment. Otherwise it would appear that the problem may be with Google. Assuming you can browse the Web normally, maybe you would be best off just trying again in a little bit.
