Why can't I move my system tray back?
 

Okay, so I just got Xubuntu, working all fine and well, but I just came across a snag- I some how accidentally dragged the system tray to the left side of the panel, and I can't move it back >_<

It looks like so:

It appears that I cannot move anything- it i try to drag, i can only drag it out as far as the icon furthest the right (the MSN icon in this case). It should be that everything after "Places" is in the right hand top corner.

I love the xfce desktop, but how the hell has this happened and how can I fix it?

Not sure I know just what's going on, have you tried right clicking on the task bar go to properties and see if you can fix it there? There is another place you can go too, right click on the desktop, > settings > task bar. You may be able to fix it from there also.

Nup, I'm afraid that didn't work :(

In XFCE, you can't just click and drag usually. You have to right-click on the one you want, then click 'move'. Then you can move it to whatever place you want on your panel.

Oh, I've tried that, but as I said in my first post, I can only move them as far as the last icon (as shown in the image). I can't actually move anything back to the immediate top right hand corner, which is very annoying.

EDIT: Aha, I solved it now. It was an issue with the placement of the (almost invisible :p) spacing/seperators. All is solved now.
