Why can't I erase Lenox?
 

I've tried every suggestion out there and nothing works, even from Microsoft. It will cost me $130. to install my windows CD. Isn't that peachy. Why does Lenox make it so hard to get rid of them. Wish I'd never saw their sorry butts.

I think that judging by your lack of computer knowledge (unable to boot a windows cd), the way you behave asking for help in a forum and your perfectly spelling of "Lenox" (I know, you were trying to be funny, but... fail), $130 is a bargain.

Now, if you actually saved the box your PC came with, returning it is the absolutely best thing to do. Does not look like you can handle it...

Guys, let's analyse the posts: first post tells us that Linux is the best. The remaining posts tell us that Linux sucks. Despite the word "Linux" being splashed all over the site, he insists on misspelling it. Somewhere there is a bridge without an occupant.

You can erase anything on your hard drive by inserting your windows disk and powercycling your pC. When it boots back up, select the option to reformat your hard drive and do a clean install of your original windows operating system.

No need to spend $130.00 Note when you do the Format, it will erase everything on your hard drive all files contacts photos etc

The next time you install linux,, install it as a dual boot so that you can switch back and forth between Linux and Windows.

My openSUSE version of Linux has a 'boot to floppy' choice. Why not boot to an old Win98se boot floppy, then run Fdisk and format to rid yourself of Linux?

That is a good suggestion. Well, at least it was used to be, but I haven't seen any new PC shipping with a floppy device for a few years. In fact, my old Dell machine did not even come with PS/2. And it really is not recommended to restore WinXP loader with a win98 boot disk. And if the original OS was Vista, well... I am not even sure if that is possible.

Well Enunnally, after your brief experience with linux and you said "it sucks", then my advice to you is don't use linux again. Linux is not windows or mac. Things are done differently in linux. If you are not willing to put effort in learning the basics and beyond the basics then you are wasting your time here.
