Why can't i connect to the wireless internet on Ubuntu 10.04? c


can someone please explain how to connect to me? I have always used windows and don't fully understand linux yet. I have tried installing ndiscgtk but it says it is missing. Thanks for your help

Do you have a network icon on top of screen, if so, click on it, find network enter key.

You are connected to network by ethernet, there should be an icon for that. To see what I'm talking about unpug and plug back in.
Click on that icon and select enable wireless.

i think the wireless driver is screwed up but i'm just guessing at that.

You should be able to get it in synaptic or additional drivers.
Check to see if you have ipw2200 installed.
