Why as a root.....


Hello

Why as a root and GUI i can't see my " /proc " , and in text mode i do not have this problem!!!

As a user ido not have this problem either.

I am not sure why, but... you should never really login as root and start the gui anyway. Besides being a huge security risk and quite unnecessary too, a few applications won't let you run them as root. If you ever need to do administrations tasks, be it changing a password or editing a config file, use "su" at the terminal...
