Unhappy Why am I unable to access wired internet on ubuntu 10.10 desktop edition?


Hi,
I have recently installed Ubuntu 10.10 desktop edition in my system. I am unable to access wired internet services after establishing the connection.
Can you tell me where is mistake?

What you were asked to post is the output of the commands. Not the screenshot. Its very hard to read the screenshots. Paste the output from the commands in Code tags.
And from what I can see, your network card does not seem to have the valid IP address. You need to find out if you have a DHCP server running in your network. If you dont, manually provide the static IP address and the other required TCP/IP settings.

not sure how your router is setup. hopefully you have dhcp enabled. try:

sudo ifconfig eth0 down
sudo ifconfig eth0 up
sudo dhclient
