Why am I seeing double in X?

I installed Vector SOHO 3.2 and it configures all my hardware automatically, but when I start X I see double (or should I say quadruple). Anyway, the best way to show you without a screenshot is like this:

If 1234567890 was stretched across the screen, it would look something like this: 1234512121. It takes a slice from the left corner of the screen and displays it over and over.

Any Ideas?

YES actually, you may have your monitor screen being pushed off the actuall screen... better way to explain is the sceen has been moved to the far left and you just need to adjust the monitor controls to fit the screen to the monitor. (you know the knobs or buttons that control the size fo the screen)

This would have nothing to do with any software related problems only the monitor, if what I think is the problem is.

You understand what I mean... kinda hard to explain...
