Who has a call waiting modem and what is it?

Hi,
As stated in the subject :Who has a call waiting modem and what is it?
There a ton of winmodems out there with call waitng or modem on hold.
But when it comes to Linux it a little harder to know if this feature will work or not. The problem is that it says "Linux driver available". To me this does not clearly state that all function in Windows are available in Linux.
So do you have a modem which has "call waiting or modem on hold", if so which one is it.

Currently I have a Zoom dual faxmodem 56k LT which has this feature in Win98 with a chip set 2919. I have tryed looking this one up at various place but I can say that I have found it clearly stated that I would have this same feature under Linux.

I also have a Cnet Tech M/M Cn56114RV (B) with is a v92 which supposed to support "modem on hold". I have also found a driver for this one but again the same problem.

Both of the above modems are internal modes with Zoom being listed as a real modem and being ISA . And the Cnet being a semi soft modem and PCI.

So would anyone like to share which modem they have, that works with "call waiting or modem on hold".

I'm going to say that I know of no programs that can retrieve the hold status or call waiting information from the modem.

That said, call waiting is call waiting... the hardware aspect of it (allowing an incoming call to ring) should work regardless of drivers, though whether you'll still be connected or not when you're done with the call is unknown.

I had one once, and out of the box id didn't work right. I was using windows, so I installed the driver and modem on hold, and when someone would call, I would lose my internet connection, and would not get the phone call. Stay away from that junk. By the way, my friend got one and the same thing happened to him.

The Zoom modem I am using right now works great at least under Win98. That is why I am looking to see if anyone has a modem working under Linux.

By the way which modem did you and you friend have trouble with?
I only have one phone line and so I need to have a modem with call waiting.
