Which Wireless USB Adaptor do I need for my Linux 2.6.31-20 ?

generally, ones with the atheros chipset should do.
i used to have the linksys WUSB????? - i forgot the model
(its not with me right now, sorry). it works out of the box
with kubuntu 10.04 LTS.

Has lots of space now with this hard cuurent hard drive. Need to get rid of all data and start over with Linux. which program (in Linex) should I download... a newer version? and one that you can recommend with a wireless USB network adapter I can purchase.Need help soon with getting back to Linux. MCSFT blows. Locking up all the time. hurry with suggestions, anybody, pls.

(Have an old Linksys:Wireless-Bon hand, if that of any help to me)Let me know as I am sorta new to this 'networking of things'
