Which linux to use


Ah ok i want the windows most like one must be free and must be easy to use configure etc. Must not be mandrake or redhat and must be a good linux server so that i can host my website

Try going to distrowatch.com and looking for other rpm-based distros (like red hat and mandrake. You might want to check out fedora 1.0 even though it's basically red hat. You might like to use the search button too

If your name is right....you really don't care what I think. You want me to go somewhere.



I really don't think you'll be unhappy with Redhat 9, or Redhat Fedora either

If it must look most like Windows, go with Lycoris.

Try Debia, Slackware, or SuSe
Non rpm based
Rpm is sent from hell
Installing any package that has dependancies will probably take until aforementioned place freezes over. I remember the entire.. ohh.. this has 3 dependancies... this has 2... and the other has 4.... 4 hours later, Gentoo was compiling

so ah where can i get lycros thingy as linuxiso.org wont work and the ones from their site dont wanna work

I have a version of Lycoris Desktop LX that I downloaded almost 9 months ago. If you like I can burn you a copy and mail it to you.

Not if you use apt-rpm
