Which Linux should I use for my HP Pavilion 2000?

XP quit working with my WIFI. I tried reloading and got jammed up. Did a format and tried to load again. The disc would run most of the way and then tell me it couldn't find the CD Drive it was already running on. :)

So I got a copy of Freespire of of eBay and HEY... I'm back on the air, internet and all. I'm wondering if I should keep Freespire or is there a better choice. No dual boot with windows; it is history. I just want that Laptop to be Linux only.

Thanks for your time and help.

Hi,

I would suggest that you look at some free Livecd distributions to get an idea of what feels right for you.
