Which ISP (internet provider) works well with Linux?

I have ThizLinux, I was wondering which internet provider works well with Linux or what I have to do to make it work, also the same kinds of questions for other applications, everything is Windows based, so how will I know if a program I buy will work on my system?

The best solution is to ask. Think about best ISPs you have in the area and phone/email them. Most work correctly. Be careful when they have a special program used to connect to their network. That may be dangerous. Nearly 100% DSL/ADSL/PPP connections work correctly.

When it comes to programs, always read what it says on the box. If there's "requires: windows xxxx", it won't work (OK, may work with wine/wineX, but it requires extra work and time). Ask for Linux versions.

Earthlink dialup will work. All u do is sign up over the telephone, get a local access number, set up an account in kppp with that local access number, and you are off!
MSN 8 does not work for sure. It took me a while to find that out.
AOL might not work either because they want you to get their software. Most others will work

I use MSN and it works fine. In KPPP all you have to do is msn/username.
