Smile Which is the best Distro for a Newbie


HI GUYS,

I am new to the Linux environment!!
I have some knowledge about the kernel,the shell & various commands, VIM.
Now a need a Distro that has all the programming tools, is easy to configure & install, and is friendly to a newbie.

Please Help!!

i have found fedora core 4 to be the best but i havent tried them all if ur looking for programing tools fedora core 4 has a bunch of them. and fc4 is free.

Please, please, please, PLEASE use the search button........This question is asked on an almost daily basis and you will find more opinions on what distro a newbie should use than you could possibly ever read.

All distro's can be used as beginner distributions... yes, that's right, use whichever one you want. Try one or try them all out, see which one you think is best that suits your own needs in an Operating System.
