Which FC supports Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

Will FC4 recognize and use 4 processors in the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600? If not, what is the oldest FC that will?
thanks,

Welcome to LQ!

Well, the thing is computer has more chips inside than just CPU. In GNU/Linux all this hardware is supported by kernel, regardless what distro is used. You cannot expect an old kernel to work with your new motherboard, new chipsets are developed and Linux support follows. Not other way around.
