Which distro for data recovery tools?

I'm interested to know if there are any Linux distributions that are geared towards data recovery, specifically from damaged & corrupted Windows drives.

Regards, Alan.

I have used Knoppix bootable CD and either a network connection or a big USB drive to recover data from a hosed Windows box. IT worked quite well.
