Which distribution is right for me?

I’ll be new at Linux and currently downloading the Ubentu but I’m not sure if it’s the right distro for me.

I am a frequent user of Microsoft Office software and I play sport games like Fifa and Need for Speed. Also the Internet for me is very essential. I spend most of my computer time browsing.

I don’t know how to use Linux as yet!

Any help about what distro suits me?

Do a search here on LQ with queries such as "what distro" and "which distro" and you will have no shortage of informative suggestions to ponder.

Ubentu is as good a place to start as any, for a new user.

Welcome to Linux! If you have further specific questions, please don't hesitate to search here and/or ask.

Ubuntu is a fine place to start.

Also look at http://distrowatch.com
Sometimes, the advice is to pick anything in the top ten on their "hit list".
