I was going to download the ISO (DVD) for Debian Squeeze, problem is im not sure which one. At the moment im running i686, but cant see that on the Debian download page.... only i386 :S Also there seems to be two DVD iso's... do i need both or just the 1 ?
Sorry to waste your time with these questions but whenever i type debian into google i get a whole heap of ubuntu forums and none with proper information :P
You only need DVD#1. Well, you dont even need DVD#1, CD#1 works fine.
Technically, you dont even need CD#1, the small images work as well. Just you dont load much from the CD, most of the files will come down via the net. Good if you have fast net connection, and are only planning on installing on one machine. Netinstall sucks if you have a slow conenction, or want to install on multipule machines.
Yes, I'm in brizzy. But I didnt mean 'brisyland', 'brisneyland' is exactly what I meant. Its a bit of a joke, 'the new, child-friendly brisbane', as opposed to the old 'brisvegas' with its illegal brothels and casinos. LOL
