From the second pic I would guess XFCE as DE, but neither gives any indication of a distro so it could be any. Of course the whole point is that the distro doesn't matter as you could
have any with XFCE as manager with that colour scheme :)

Linux Mint 15 with Cinnamon desktop.

That is, if it is a default desktop (default theming & file manager).

+1, pretty sure Captain Pinkeye is right about this one.

Hm, this rather looks like KDE to me, but I might be wrong on that.

Color scheme looks very much like Mint Cinnamon, but in order to be able to tell for sure you should look at the output of

Code:

cat /etc/linuxmint/info

It's Cinnamon on Linux Mint 15. I have no doubts! :)

Well I looked at that in a vm and the settings dialog looks slightly (!) different. At least in a live session in virtualbox.

EDIT: Added screenshot of system settings in Mint 15 Cinnamon. Very similar, but not the same.

It is LinuxMint, and some GTK base UI for sure. Remember it could be cinnamon with a different theme. You can theme the heck out it, So if you have a picture that doesnt look like the default it doesnt mean it is not.

But one thing for sure it is not a QT base UI, GTK 100%.

I dont really like the square icons in Linux Mint but lots of people are going crazy about them. I think Faenza is the name of these icons. There are no for me.

Hmm...Seems close to Mint 13 Cinnamon.
