where to put shared files
Hi all,
The FHS doesn't seem to have anything like it mentioned. In the Linux directory structure, which directory is purposely designed for storing shared files/documents among Groups or Others? By 'shared files/documents', I mean e.g. documents from a collaborative projects. If such 'purposely designed' directory does not naturally exist, how do people usually do that? Thanks. I presume it will be another mount point. The subdirectories are controlled by ACL. |
Why not for example /home/share or /home/programmers_group ?

/srv?
From the FHS: "... it can be useful to structure /srv by administrative context, such as /srv/physics/www, /srv/compsci/cvs, etc." |
