where is my history of commands?

i use fedora3
all i want to do is find my history of commands
I know it is a text file somewhere like
$HOME/.history
i also had a note to look under
/tmp/orbit_root
but that is obviously something else
i searched "history cli" in these forums and couldn't find the answer

ok, so where is this file that lists my history of commands again?

Thanks.
