Question Where is insmod???

I am trying to install a motorolla modem on my Redhat linux 8.0. At some point (after executing the rpm) i have to insmod sm56 which will install my modem. My problem is that insmod does not execute (command not found)! I can see it in the man pages but it appears that it has not been installed or something like that, along with all the other module commands. Can somebody tell me what i have to do to install insmod on Redhat linux v8?

Thank you very much in advance

it WILL be in /sbin/insmod. you're either not running it as root, or have "su"d to root incorrectly etc... either way, just use teh full path as root and you'll be fine
