where is dc++ for linux

I'm trying to find a good file sharing prog for linux. i have xmule, but i can't download anything from that. I was looking into mldonkey, but i can't find the source for it. so i figured i would give direct connect a try, but can't seem to find it for linux

Apollon (http://apollon.sf.net) is the best giFT client software. You can access The FastTrack network (Kazaa), OpenFT, Gnutella and OpenNAP all at the same time. It's by far the best out there.

i have apollon and it is so often that the downloads won't start, i also couldn't find the opennap plugin

im not sure if dc++ runs natively on linux.... from what i got by searching http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum/ it seems as if you need wine or something along those lines

That's true about the opennap plugin. I found it, but it just crashed giFT, so it's not really worth it. But as for not being able to get downloads to start, well that's just a general problem with filesharing. I've certainly found it to be as good as Kazaa, but you could always try bittorrent. It's supposed to be great, but I've never bothered because of the massive number of dependencies.

just use DCGUI-QT IMO its better than any direct connect client that ever existed in the windows world ...

I tried Valknut from
http://dcgui.berlios.de/download.php

1. installation was success
2. I used hubs (I had in Win under Revconnect)
3. I doesn't find a file (passive active mode doesn't help)

actually I was looking for Revconnect or DC++ on Linux.
But Valknut would be fine solution, if I could find some files with it.
