where i can reduz the kbs of a pic?

i have 1 foto whit 300k and i need the foto whi 100k where i can do that on linux? tks :)

Open the file with the gimp and save it in a filetype that lets you set the compression when you save it, say a JPEG .
I dont know of any way to do this programatically but I am sure it can be done.
Even winProgs let you play with the compression.

What format is the photo in, and what format do you need it in afterward?

If it's JPEG and you want to keep it in JPEG, you can use djpeg and cjpeg from the libjpeg tools. You might have these on your system already.

yes, but is not jpeg.. it's 10 or 11 format's..
but where i can download 1 software for linux to reduz de kbs of a pic?

Seriously you can't be asking the same question after given valid and good replies? Use the Gimp, its most likely already installed as most distros come with it.

And for some advice, you should learn more about graphic manipulation to deal with graphics, their sizes, qualities and so on..

If you want to do batch conversion then take a look at ImageMagicks "convert" program
