Where do we use smp kernel and where hugeman
 
I have a confusion that when we have to use normal or smp kernel and when should we use hugeman kernel in RedHat Linux.
What are the memory limits they support.

hugemem kenel supports a 4GB per process user space (versus 3GB for the other kernels), and a 4GB direct kernel space. Using this kernel allows Red Hat Enterprise Linux to run on systems with up to 64GB of main memory. The hugemem kernel is required in order to use all the memory in system configurations containing more than 16GB of memory.

SMP kernel can not support mmeory large than 32G, and more RAM a system had requires more space from the lowmem area, due to 32-bit linux smp kernel lowmem limitation.
