Where do we use smp kernel and where hugeman
I have a confusion that when we have to use normal or smp kernel and when should we use hugeman kernel in RedHat Linux.
What are the memory limits they support. |
Quote:
SMP kernel can not support mmeory large than 32G, and more RAM a system had requires more space from the lowmem area, due to 32-bit linux smp kernel lowmem limitation. please also following this link: http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_80_1013.shtm Google has alot more on this....easy to find... |
