Where can i find the control centre in Ubuntu/kubuntu?
 

Hi

i just installed Ubuntu and everything went smoothly, and yes, it does beat windows.

The only problem that i have is finding the control centre.
i have downloaded/installed kubuntu using :(sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop) via the terminal.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!:Pengy:

This is from the releasenotes of kbuntu:

'KDE System Settings
The traditional KDE Control Center has been replaced with KDE System Settings. This change is not part of KDE, but is unique to Kubuntu. The new interface is cleaner, faster, simpler and comes with improved usability features such as quick search.'

i found a similar thread to mine and figured it out.

your welcome.

You probably allready figured this out as well, but im writing it anyways ;)

If you liked the old look better you can still launch it just hit ALT+F2 and enter kcontrol or you can start kcontrol from a terminal.
