Thank you for your reply. Actually I want to modify e1000 driver source code and want to do some experiments. So, I want the location of the code in the server I am using(redhat 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 server). But, I am not able to find the kernel source code. Please do let me know the path where I need look for the source code?

Do you have the kernel-devel and kernel-headers RPM's installed? If you don't have the sources installed, that's most likely the issue in not finding the source.

rpm -qa | grep kernel

And tell us what the command outputs.
