Where are the app assoc files for KDE?

Hi,

Can somebody please point me to the directory (in Linux mdk 10) where the application association files for KDE are kept (the ones that can be set using the KDE Control Center)? Some of the mimetypes don't seem to stick across X-restarts.

Thanks,
AR

not 100% sure , but, have a look at

/opt/kde/include/kmimetype.h

like i said, not 100% sure. use at your own risk.
good luck.

Yes, but that header file is owned by root.

What about the mimetypes that individual users set?

Where are they?

locate shows this

locate kmimetype
/opt/kde/include/kmimetype.h
/opt/kde/include/kmimetyperesolver.h
/home/user/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments/kmimetype.h.desktop

hope that helps.
good luck.
