Where are rhe kernel sources?

Hi! This is my firstpost so it's going to be a really "newbie" one: I am used to work with Red Hat Linux, a year ago I changed to Fedora Core I and now I installed Fedora Core III. When I installed Fedora Core I (full installation), I could see the kernel source files were on /usr/src/, to more exact, on /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl. So when I started having compilation problem I noticed that I had to create a symbolic link called linux that pointed to linux-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl

So far, everthing is cool BUT when I installed Fedora Core III, full installation, I saw that the only directory inside /usr/src/ is redhat and when I ls redHat I got BUILD RPMS SOURCES SPECS SRPMS and each one of these directories is empty!

So, where are my sources? why the installation program didn't put them where the are supposed to be?

Can I get my sources without having to reinstall the OS?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Wilemr

they take up quite a bit of space, so some distro's don't put them on unless told to at install time. sure, just install them, they should be on the cd's somewhere

Not on the CD's you have to download them. Read the FC3 Release Notes.
