When rebooting deleted icons reappear

I'm running mandrake 9.2 and running Gnome 2.4 for my gui. Every-time I reboot, icons, (FLPhoto shortcuts) appear on the desktop, I can delete them but after another reboot they reappear. This has been an on going process for over a week. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a couple of questions first,

1) Are you sending them to the trash bin or permanently deleting the icons?
2) After you delete them and log out, are you saving the session?

1. Yes I send them the to the trash bin, but then I empty the trash bin.
2. I've tried saving the session and not saving the session either way they reappear.

OK, another question, is your camera plugged in when you boot? If my Kodak camera is plugged in, I get the FLPhoto shortcut on my desktop, but when I disconnect it, it goes away.

The camera is not plugged in and there are multiple FLPhoto icons on the desktop, not just one.

It may not help but, have you tried running update-menus -v. That fixes a bug in MDK9.2 with the menu options and might fix your problem. Sorry I can't help you further.
