When I try to download a script (.sh) or even other files, the browser opens it...
I'm trying to download the latest patch for Quake III Arena, but I can't since it is huge and, in consequence, the browser hangs (I'm using Konqueror and Mozilla Firefox). How can I prevent my browser from doing that? By the way sometimes I use the Save Link As... option, but in some cases even that is impossible, because of php scripts and so.
Also, if you didn't want the GUI to execute scripts then you could go into the file associations manager of control center and change the execute command in the x-konsole and x-shellscript to prevent the GUI from globaly lauching shell scripts. i have mine set to open up as text, as I never want konquer to execute a script from a click. that is what the shell is for!
That will not solve the problem, I actually need Firefox not to visualize .sh files. In this particular case, the ftp server needs some kind of login/password provided by the .php script by clicking the link, something that wget won't do.

I agree absolutely, but since upgrading to Konqueror 3.3.2 I cant find a way to do this.
