wheel/mouse with slackware


How can i enable wheel/mouse with Slackware 9.0_

In your /etc/X11/XF86Config or /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 , for the core pointer device section, add:
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

If you use a mousewheel in X, make sure you set the same thing in gpm. (the console mouse)

edit /etc/rc.d/rc.gpm, and change the type from ps2 to imps2. You need to change this protocol in the /etc/X11/XF86Config too.
