whats the /dev/ device of my usb ports ? (for gnomemeeting (webcam problem))

Hey guys, I have a cheap novelty Minni digital camera that also works as a web cam.

the thing works in gtkam (digital camera tool)
so the linux driver must work right ?

anyway, then i load up fedora's web conferencing tool gnomemeeting
it says it cannot detect my video device and i must put it in myself..

the drop down box has /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 (which are not correct)
whats the address of the usb ports ???

sorry to ask such a newbie question.

look in dmesg or your logs in /var/log and see what the camera is being picked up as..and as you point out that you say its a digital camera, it could very well be detected as something like /dev/sda1 or something...but your logs and/or dmesg should show it ..
